About YardQuote

Last updated: By YardQuote Research TeamReviewed by Yevhenii Kuznietsov, 11-year SEO & local-market data analyst

YardQuote is an independent directory that ranks Greater Toronto Area landscaping, interlocking and snow removal companies using verified Google review data and real market pricing. This page explains who builds YardQuote, how it works, and the editorial rules that keep the rankings honest.

Who runs YardQuote?

YardQuote is built and edited by Yevhenii Kuznietsov, a Toronto-based search and local-marketing specialist. He brings 11 years of SEO experience across more than 500 websites, works as a data analyst, and co-founded a GTA home-improvement company, so he sees the contractor side of this market as well as the search side. He built YardQuote's ranking method and reviews every dataset before it is published.

What does YardQuote do?

YardQuote does two things. First, it ranks yard-service companies across the Greater Toronto Area by verified Google reviews plus verification checks, so you can compare real pros instead of ad placements. Second, it matches homeowners with up to 3 exclusive local quotes through a free form. We currently track 1,091 businesses in 7 categories, from full landscape builds to seasonal snow contracts.

How does YardQuote make money without selling rankings?

YardQuote is free for homeowners because contractors pay for the quote requests we send them, and later for clearly labelled featured placements and ads. That revenue is kept separate from the rankings on purpose. A company can buy leads or an ad slot, but it can never buy a higher rank. Keeping those two things apart is the whole point, because a directory you cannot trust is worthless.

What are YardQuote's editorial standards?

YardQuote follows four rules on every page. Rankings are never for sale, review data comes only from public Google Maps profiles, market pricing is always attributed to a named source, and any homeowner or business owner can request a correction. Those standards are what let us claim these 1,091 listings are ranked on merit.

  • No pay-to-rank

Placement comes from a transparent, published formula. Paid leads and featured slots are labelled and kept out of the ranking.

  • Verified review data

Every rating and review count is public Google Maps data. We do not write, buy or edit reviews.

  • Named pricing sources

Cost figures cite the specific GTA contractor or authority they came from, so you can check them yourself.

  • Open corrections
